Dr. Futerman received his
Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the State University of New York at Stonybrook
where he was awarded a United States Naval Health Professions Scholarship. Dr.
Futerman describes the highlights of his naval career as serving on the aircraft
carrier CVN 69 USS Dwight D. Eisenhower during 9/11/2001 and working as an oral
surgeon at the Naval Medical Center at Portsmouth.
Realizing the invaluable
contribution of anesthesia to the success of dentistry, Dr. Futerman
continued his education by completing a residency in Anesthesiology at Mount
