DrJain and Ashleigh were amazing and made me feel very comfortable and never rushed. I have a very string gag reflex, to the point of anxiety when i havent seen a dentist in 6 years. They were great and I’ll be requesting them personally everytime. I will definately be coming back for all of my future needs.
My daughter had some surgery and the experience was amazing. Dr. Futerman was patient and funny. Everything was done quickly and they followed up the next day. Trisha at the front desk was especially amazing and caring. Honestly, Trisha made the experience easier, she made me feel comfortable and was just kind. I am so grateful that I found ADS since I have dental anxiety and let some things get away from me as a result. Making the initial appointment was scary enough, but Ashleigh immediately made me so comfortable and welcome. I was sedated for some extractions and Dr. Delva did an amazing job. Coming back for check ups has been seamless and I really appreciate that Ashleigh is always here to talk to and put me at ease. If you have anxiety or fears of any sort, this is the place for you. The first step is the hardest but they will help you the rest of the way.

It’s always a little nerve-racking, going to any dentist for many reasons such as; what are they gonna find? How much is it gonna hurt and how much is it gonna cost you hope for a good confident and competent team. Dr. Delva and Ashley have seen me the most, and I have truly enjoyed them being in my corner. They are very meticulous, professional, and humorous at times I can truly say I haven’t had any pain, except for a slight needle stick in the gum at the time of the beginning of the numbing session. They are very patient with me because I have a tendency to gag a lot, lol! I am very pleased to say and proud to be a part of this dentistry. Thank you very much. You guys are great !! I do have dental anxiety that spikes my BP high. Dr. Synder understand possibly due to my anxiety. She is the best,she is very caring. She makes sure I feel comfortable and relaxed during dental procedures. She knows i needed something to help me relax, and that will stabilize my BP before she starts the procedure. The only concern I have is with her dental assistant. The male assistant is a little bit rough, although he is very pleasant, I think he needs to be more gentle. Overall, I do recommend the clinic.
They got me in within hours of calling for a problem I was experiencing with one of my teeth. Kind, patient, & listened to my concerns before exam. Always a positive experience here.

Trish at the front desk is always so friendly and welcoming. Trish (hygienist) is so funny and really helps me relax with her stories. I was super nervous to get fillings and Dr. Snyder and the assistant (so sorry I didn’t catch her name!) made me feel really comfortable and helped me through the appointment. Being a bundle of nerves, it was so comforting the little things that made a huge impact such as patting me on the shoulder during the needle injection, moving up the glasses that had slipped off my nose, to asking if I was doing ok throughout the procedure. All the staff are so nice and don’t make you feel bad to be nervous. They are very accommodating and do their best to help patients relax.
Dr. Jain and her staff were AMAZING! Above and beyond for this girl who DOES NOT like to go to the dentist AT ALL! I felt comforted by the assistant Ashley and Dr. Jain was very gentle and thorough with my exam and the treatments I would be needing along w the plan for my severe dental anxiety. What a marvelous facility! Everyone at Advance Sedation Dentistry was super helpful, kind, and made me feel welcome. My anxiety levels typically skyrocket when I go to the dentist but as soon as I walked into the office, my mind was set at ease. I can’t thank the staff enough for a wonderful experience!! They put me at ease with my concerns and fears. Got me in for appt the same day. Made a plan for me and was a surprisingly lower cost than I anticipated.
I always loved brushing and flossing regularly. However, ever since i was treated so amazing at both my Chesapeake and Virginia Beach visits. I was like, "what the heck?!" And threw away my toothbrush so I can return to this amazing establishment soon and more often. From the feng shui of the lobby, to the friendly staff and the steady sniper-like hands of Dr. Delva... its a complete 5 star experience. Now when i eat candy and sugary foods, i laugh at the thought of a possible cavity.i say out loud, "count your days Mr Cavity... soon, you will be obliterated by the sure hands of Dr Delva!" Also, Ashleigh, who is her dental assistant/hygienist is an angel on earth and is the most caring person and reassured me that i am in capable hands. Im pretty sure she has a Masters from some prestige therapy school because she stopped my nervous shake from my root canal procedure. I felt like i can take over the world! I am living pain free and worry free!! When i win the lotto, i will donate money to research on how we can clone the amazing staff at Advance Dentistry!!
I could not get home fast enough to write this review. I had an appointment for myself and my 21 month old. I also had in tow a 7 month old I watch during the week. The staff was beyond phenomenal! 7 month old was missing a shoe, the amazing lady at the front desk helped me looked for it. When we got to the back, there was an intern, she assisted with watching the kids during my exam. She even feed the younger one. The hygienist was amazing with my daughter, after he cleaning she held her while the doctor examined my teeth. I felt some comfortable and worry free throughout both exams. I’m horrible with names but all the women there today went above and beyond. They didn’t have to help me at all, but they did. The hygienist even assisted me to the car with both children. I’m beyond grateful for their kindness they showed me and the children. Kindness goes a long way. It’s not always about just business. Thank you ladies from the bottom of my heart. Still no cavities at almost 41…woot woot!!

If going to the dentist gives you anxiety then you need to go here. I have dealt with a fear for 30 plus years of going to the dentist. And my fear was causing my teeth to suffer. They have everything I needed and more to make me feel comfortable. The entire staff is delightful, courteous, patient and genuinely professional. I never dread an appointment there because I trust they will treat me like family. I would recommend them to everyone.
They have found out how to nickel and dime their patients. I was charged a $75 behavior fee for a child who was well behaved. When I called to refute the charge, they agreed he was excellent but never credited my account. As a new patient I have to attend two first appointments, one for x-rays and another for my actual cleaning. Of all the places we've lived I've never had someone do this. It just means an extra charge to my insurance and more time I have to take off of work. Unfortunately few places locally take United Concordia so we're stuck here, but we are certainly counting down the days.

She helped my gum disease, took all my teeth unfortunately due to my gum disease was in terrible shape nothing could be save. Trisha; I thank you so very to very much she the best admin assistant. Just finished my first appointment and this has by far been the BEST experience I’ve ever had at a dentists office. I have been traumatized by last dental experiences which has cause delay in getting the care I need. From the first phone call with the receptionist all the way to the dentist, there was so much compassion and understanding and a willingness to make this experience better. The office was clean and well decorated. The front desk staff was so warm and welcoming. Checking in was suuuuuuper easy and I didn’t feel like I was repeating paperwork that I did online. The assistants were great! Friendly and communicated the whole process to me so I was never surprised. The dentist was also warm and friendly and talked me through what she was doing. She was gentle and offered breaks when she felt I was tense. I was presented with options but not overwhelmed. I loved being able to sit down afterwards to review the treatment plan and what to expect financially. I didn’t feel pressured into getting any procedure done right away or at all. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars honestly. Just an all around great experience!
I searched high and low for an office within an hour and a half of me that could perform the necessary dental work on my 4 year old with sedation. I found Advanced Sedation and from the beginning they were super helpful and efficient. The office is very kind and competent. The insurance liaison helped with all my questions and explained everything to me very patiently. The doctors were kind and the anesthesiologist made my daughter feel completely comfortable. I’m very thankful for our experience!

What customer service! We’re able to get me in last minute for a cracked crown and take care of it. Coached me on adding a dental plan that saved me $500. The front desk was helpful and knowledgeable about everything I needed done and made sure all questions were answered. The procedure was sterile, efficient, and explained to me. I felt comfortable and that my tooth was getting the best care for its condition. Would go back if I have too:)
I went in today for my first check up in 4 years. I have really bad anxiety when it comes to going to the dentist and I was embarrassed with my teeth. The staff was super friendly and understanding!
Wow! I have never felt so welcome and respected at a dentist prior to this visit. My last dentist belongs to a large family practice in Norfolk. I was pressured into a gum surgery, it turns out, I did not need. The Norfolk dentist went so far as to deny my cleanings until I got said surgery from his brother. I declined. In the interim some mental health issues suddenly arose and I became a completely different person almost overnight. I was diagnosed bipolar and now have fairly bad social and situational anxiety. Going to the dentist was going to be a challenge, but I had to do it. I explained my new condition during the consultation. We made a plan, and next my visit was awesome! I got to rock out with some Queen, CCR, and The Steve Miller Band with my tech who fully “got me.” I still felt a little panicky because I chose nitrous over being sedated and I tend to hold my breathe, but overall. Amazing experience. What a relief!

I’ve always been one of those people that was scared/self conscious about going to the dentist because I felt like my teeth were horrid and these people have a way of making you feel completely comfortable through the entirety of your visits (yes, even from the moment you walk in). I’ve been getting dental work here for the past year to fix my smile. I’ve been through several fillings, a crown and some extractions (All without the sedation) and there wasn’t a single time where I didn’t feel comfortable/safe here. Yesterday I finally got my smile completed and to say I couldn’t be happier with the outcome would be an understatement! They truly care about their clients and returning their confidence! So give this place a go, I promise it’s worth it!

I had a great experience at Advanced Sedation Dentistry. I had not seen a dentist in 15 years due to my extreme dental phobia as well as my Asperger's and over-senstivity to light, sounds and smells and reactive behaviors. My first contact was receptionist Trish and she was great de-esculating my fears and addressing my concerns. From the receptionists all the way to the Dr Delva (who was also a great listener and de-esculater) everyone was great!

Went in for consultation, hopeful this root canal n filling removals n more fillings will be pain free! I will update after my 1st visit! Semi sedation is in my plan/ so far the office n staff have been helpful and very nice! I was upset with my former dentist office that they never emailed my dental records over, no one said anything prior to my first visit and I had to go through X-rays and gum point tests ALL over again n pay for them also! So double check they have your records at least 2 days in advance of your initial appointment! Looking forward to a great smile after I’m all done!

She is gentle and caring. I just finished up with several visits to get my mouth ready for partials. My partials were delivered 2 days ago and I love them. I'm kind of sad that I have no appts coming up soon.

Dr. Shelbi Young is amazing!!! She's very sweet and reassuring. I have never felt judged about my severe dental phobia here. All I had to do was voice my anxiety and the practice called in some medication to my pharmacy. I took it as prescribed, it kicked in while having a conversation with the nice lady at the front desk, and well the rest is a blur. I have no recollection of the numbing shots, drilling, or even who helped me to the car after. When I got home I slept the rest of the day. I'm not scared for any future appointments should I need more work done. 100% would recommend Advanced Sedation Dentistry.
I chose this dentist from a list on my insurance and I hit the jackpot! They are kind and open...I loved that I got a upfront price breakdown before completing any work! I had s broken bridge on my front teeth and my replacement looks better than I could ever hope for!
Dr. Shelbi Young is amazing!!! She's very sweet and reassuring. I have never felt judged about my severe dental phobia here. All I had to do was voice my anxiety and the practice called in some medication to my pharmacy. I took it as prescribed, it kicked in while having a conversation with the nice lady at the front desk, and well the rest is a blur. I have no recollection of the numbing shots, drilling, or even who helped me to the car after. When I got home I slept the rest of the day. I'm not scared for any future appointments should I need more work done. 100% would recommend Advanced Sedation Dentistry.
What an experience! If anyone has dental anxiety or fearful of dental procedures this is the place to go. From the front desk, Trisha was so reassuring and very thorough with the process. The dental assistant was amazing in making sure I understood what was happening and Dr. Delva, sure was amazing!! She understood how I felt and reminded me that the process would be fine and I had nothing to worry about. I didn’t sleep last night because I was so anxious and I would go back tomorrow for another appointment if needed because they make it that comfortable! Thank you ladies!

I had an emergency on a Saturday and was able to get in and be seen on Tuesday. Normally I use sedation for fillings and this time I did none because I had ro drive myself and the staff made me comfortable and I got through a root canal easy peasy.

Dr Delva and all of her staff are absolute angels i have an extreme dental phobia so needless to say my teeth needed some work i came in, in pain and feeling hopeless. They were able to get me in for sedation, extracrion, a rootcanal, a few fillings. And some gum work i was very comfortable and it was relativly afforadable. I will never go anywhere else. UPDATE : had to bring my daughter in for an extraction that her regular dentist couldnt fit her in for.. for a month Dr Delva and her assistant were soooooo sweet and gentle with her easy peasy and a few hours later my daughter is pain free and playing. Thie office is 45 minutes from my house i dont care how much gas costs.. this is the only place i trust!!! Thank you all. Also a special thank you to Trish up front, she is an angel!

I’ve had to get a ton of work done thanks to several tears of bulimia & let me tell you… Dr. Delva is one of the most patient (and talented) people I’ve ever met. She does the best work, I’m always happy with my results & they keep me comfortable from start to finish. Proceed with caution. The staff was very nice and I was so ready to get my mouth as healthy as possible until they ran my debit card for the wrong amount $486.00 vs correct amount $95 which messed up everything else that was to come out my account.. The staff apologized but never offered to pay my nsf fees, or even discount my service. Long story short I had to get a pay day loan to ensure my other obligations were met. The staff admitted they were wrong and even offered to provide a letter to me on letter head all of which I'm still waiting for and never received. Kathy Delva was hands down the most down to earth, compassionate dentist I’ve ever been to. I’ve had poor experiences with other dentists in the past which has resulted in some anxiety. She and her wonderful staff completely put me at ease. From the receptionist to the hygienists, easy going and welcoming. I had zero pain after a root canal and two fillings. I walked into this office in severe pain. Dr. Delva took great care of me. I was walking in fear for months before making a decision to have my mouth worked on. Dr. Delva did the bomb work on my mouth. I'm thankful for God leading me and my son to Dr. Delva and Advanced Sedation dentistry.
This practice is amazing. Through the years I’ve never been able to associate a dentist office Jaír without he critiquing pain and shame. So each visit became progressively worse until I stopped going. After years of neglect I’m faced with oral surgery extensive cleanings and implants. This morning changed my outlook on dentistry. I had 2 teeth extracted. The entire process was efficient and they are practicing COVID-19 practices very well. I never felt any sense of judgement from any of the staff in the practice. In fact, they made me feel very comfortable and at ease. I used the option of IV sedation and met the Doctor, woke up what seemed like a minute later and was walking out of the procedure time pain free and smiling having not felt an instant of pain Thank you Advanced Sedation Dentistry for restoring my faith in dentistry!!
I’m a HUGE baby. So I got the laughing gas. And I ain’t really feel the needle. It was great. Just after that it’s A lot of pressure only probably because of my tooth and it’s root. My root is curved so it was hard to get out. But other then that it went great.
I had an awful infection caused by a wisdom tooth cutting my cheek every time I closed my mouth. Everyone at Advanced Sedation was super nice and understanding. The diagnosis visit and extraction visit were both effortless and they were very kind and easy to work with.
I am not a fan of the dentist. The sounds of the tools causes a panic attack. The staff at Advanced Sedation were so understanding. They worked with me to make sure that I was at ease. I never felt judged. And Trish was able to get some chuckles out me. I highly recommend!!!!!!

Great place to go!! Came in for a cleaning. Front desk ladies are very nice. First appointment as a new patient, they do your x-rays and an overall examination of your teeth, then go over any concerns you have. You schedule your actual cleaning date, which the dates are usually a couple weeks away, but they get cancellations, so if you have time one day- call and ask!!! If they have any cancellations, they are very good about getting you in there! The dentist is nice & very knowledgeable. The hygienist who cleaned my teeth, Trish, is the best hygienist ever!!! She is super nice and tries to make your experience a lot less stressful with her humor. She answers all your questions without hesitation and quickly. She does an amazing job at what she does. My teeth have NEVER been cleaned THIS WELL! They looked brand new! Thanks y’all! I will never go elsewhere :)
Trish was awesome - she did an excellent job cleaning my teeth and making me laugh. All while managing a hurricane, power outages and flash flood warnings. I’d highly recommend her!
I went last Friday to get a wisdom tooth pulled that was broke in half... the doctor and the nurses were awesome made me feel very comfortable and it was pretty much pain free the only pain that I felt was a little pinch from the shot..The doctor had my tooth pulled out I think in less than 10 mins... very awesome people very good vibes... I recommend everybody go to them you will be happy... I will definitely be going back for cleaning... big thanks to the doctor and the nurses y'all are all awesome 👍👍

Just left the Chesapeake location for X-Rays. I am a new patient and enjoyed my experience. The staff was very friendly, the location was spotless and they immediately gave me a call when they had a cancellation so I can reschedule my next appointment for a sooner date. My experience with Dr. Delva and the staff at the Chesapeake office has been one of the most pleasant things I've experienced with a dentist's office. My initial appointment was thorough, informative, and quick enough to get back to work on time. My wisdom tooth extraction went flawlessly, and I was on my way home within an hour and a half of arriving at the office. The healing of my wisdom tooth procedure has not been without complications, however the staff and Dr. Delva have accommodated me at every turn. When I woke up early Monday morning with a dry socket, I was fit into the schedule first thing that morning with little to no wait and no hassle. While I've had a bit of continued pain, the office has done everything in their power to make me comfortable, going as far as to call me unprompted this morning to check on my healing and pain, and let me know that they'll be calling again in a few days to check up on me again. If you're looking for a dentist and staff that truly care about you as the patient and have your best interest at heart, I recommend Dr. Delva at the Chesapeake office.

Advanced Sedation has truly been a blessing. Due to previous dental nightmare’s I was stuck with the overwhelming dental anxiety. I started visiting Advanced Sedation about a year ago and can honestly say that I have NEVER met staff as caring as them. From day one they bring you under their wing , make you feel comfortable and take into account the way you are feeling throughout the whole process. I walked in a year ago full of anxiety and absolutely terrified of anything dental related and now I walk in , anxiety free and ready to take on my treatment plan. Okay local folks... I have kiddos who are skiddish of the dentist and today we went to our new dentist here in Chesapeake - Advanced Sedation Dentistry on Battlefield, right near the lochs. They are AMAZING!!!! Best experience EVER! Not only kind and professional, but there were some things that if a dentist had told me "needed to be done" I would have, but they didn't want to put the kids through anything unnecessary and us through the cost and had alternative ways to reverse the damage and hopefully not need intervention. Yes, a dentist NOT wanting to have you spend $$. Total for today for three kids was $0 with active duty military(United Concordia). Thank you to my dear friends for the recommendation!!!!!!

I had my first visit today and I was truly impressed from arrival. I am a BABY at the dentist, but felt completely at ease here once things got rolling. Everyone had patience for my questions. The receptionist was very friendly and efficient. When I went into the exam area, my X-rays were taken right away (none of the 15 minutes of a ticking clock while waiting alone in ‘the chair’). Lucky for me, the hygenist, Trish, had an opening for a cleaning, which I needed. Easy, pain free and awesome music... who could ask for anything else? As if that wasn’t good enough...the dentist (I believe his name was Dr. John?) came in to the hygenist space and conducted my exam so I didn’t have to move rooms. Even checking out was easy... I met with a wonderful young lady (I wish I had gotten her name) who patiently explained insurance coverage to me as we settled out. I would recommend Advanced Sedation Dentistry to anyone who wants to be treated well and taken care of! Thank you!

My children were both afraid of the dentist but ASD was wonderful at making them feel comfortable, walking them through everything and going slowly when they felt anxious. My 9yo with slight sensory issues did wonderfully with his cleaning after trying three other dentists to no avail before!! My daughter had a filling and a tooth pulled and we went back for two more baby teeth to be pulled. They were fabulous with her and everything was quick and easy! So much so that I’ve scheduled my own cleaning too!! I highly recommend!

Advanced Sedation Dentisrty in Virginia Beach is beyond amazing! Today my son had a dental procedure with general anesthesia, from the minute we walked in the door until we left it was a great experience. The staff is always so professional and kind. Every single person that I have had contact with in the office always goes above and beyond to make my family feel welcome and comfortable. I was updated constantly on my sons procedure and status, I was so pleased with how much they truly cared about my son. I am truly greatful for the entire staff for making what has historically been a horrible experience (with a previous dentist) so easy and comfortable.
A friend who also has special needs child referred me, and I'm so glad I came. The patience and understanding of the staff is what made me want to get my own dental work done here as well. I had a good experience at Advanced Sedation Dentists a few weeks ago after moving here from Ohio and not seeing a dentist for over a year. My dental insurance company recommended them. I feel very comfortable there and well cared for. The dentist checked all my x-rays and teeth and made out a plan for my care. I like her very much and trust her judgment and recommendations. The office staff were very helpful in terms of payment, etc. I hope to get all the items on my plan taken care of soon and so happy I found Advanced Sedation Dentistry.

Having alot of work done and the team at Advanced is always friendly. You can get most things done pretty quickly, just need to stay on top of your treatment plan and costs from insurance. This is a busy dentist so you may need to call several times to get questions that were asked at your appointment answered. As stated they are always friendly but just don't seem to always return your calls.
This place is great when I first got my work done??? and it was great and they do?? they do crown there and you only have to wait an hour to get your crown Crown in your mouth not a week that's great
I am terrified of the dentist however i am beyond pleased with the service i received at the va beach office from the office staff to the dentist and assistants were so sweet very nice and professional i highly recommend this office. I would like to add Amy that works at the front desk went above any beyond to help me in any way possible and even got me in as early as possible for a sedation appointment to get me out of pain.

I had to have complicated extractions done- and I had ZERO pain afterward. I was able to eat normally that evening, with no upsetting side effects. The staff was courteous and kept my anxieties at rest the entire time leading up to the procedure. Dr. Futerman was by far the best dentist I've ever seen. He has the skill and chair side manner you'd expect when seeing a professional. He's truly top notch!
The people of advance sedation dentistry are very caring and loving people. They go over everything with you from top to bottom. I once had a fear of going to the dentist also but I don't anymore since I've been going to Advanced Sedation. I love to be sedated so they can get the job done. Great dentistry to be a part of.
My brother/best friend has Cerebral palsy and no one would help take care if his teeth. He has been so scared of going to the dentist. We went to the Chesapeake office. They are the nicest people. He had alot of work done on his teeth and is doing great. He said he feels like he didn't even have anything done. I am so happy he finally got his teeth fixed. He said he will keep going back for his teeth cleanings
I love this place. They were great with my daughters wisdom teeth removal. She is 13 and was so scared and they explained the procedure and calmed her down and took great care of her. The staff was incredible, kind, and compassionate.

The staff at Advance Sedation Dentistry are very caring and professional. They go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and they insure your proceedure is painless as possible. I have always been apprehensive about going to the Dentist but they have really helped me to relax. I would recommend them to anyone who is afraid of going to the Dentist.

Welp, this morning im back again! I must say i have totally loved coming here 4 sure. The staff is AWESOME!! Every1 is soooo friendly and a lot of fun! Im always so nervous at the dentist, but they make me VERY at ease here!!

Advanced sedation dentistry is wonderful. Everyone is very nice and I have been afraid of the dentist my whole life, which is why my teeth are so bad, but after my first cleaning and second I started to relax completely. I went in for a crown and what felt like 15 minutes later was actually 3 hours. I would definitely recommend them.
By far the best dentist office I have been to. I can't stand having metal scraping on my teeth and they always help me through it. Everyone there is so kind, gentle, and friendly. Highly recommended!

Advanced sedation dentistry have a great staff and good personalities. And are great with their patients. They also try to accommodate you if something comes up. Like they did for Christopher on Tuesday when the Dental hygienist could not make it in. I would recommend them.
My first time at this facility was amazing. The office is very organized and clean and the staff was very nice and helpful. The medical equipment was modern that gave my exam results in no time at all.

I just have to say that i absolutely LOVED my experience with them. The entire staff that I came into contact with was extremely nice and courteous. The work I had done was amazing, but I was sedated for it so I cannot give reviews on that part. I have always been extremely terrified of dentists and these people made me calm and comfortable. I would rate them ten stars if I could.
They did a great job with my daughter's extraction today. They are all wonderful people.
Had to have 3 wisdom & 4 other teeth extracted, plus multiple filling. They were friendly and answered any questions throughout the process. They let me decide if I wanted it all done at once or separately. Only wish they had someone to answer phones on weekends when one is recovering in case something comes up while the doctors are out. Highly recommend!!

Had to have wisdom teeth taken out due to extreme pain. The whole staff working there were amazing. Extremely easy to talk to and very personable and professional. Both visits I had very very pleasant, I never felt a thing. Great cleaning on my teeth as well as some good laughs thanks to Angie . I highly recommend taking your business here!!
